I had a wonderful experience with Lise at ClaireLi Purely Maltese. Lise was very knowledgeable in helping us select a new puppy that would fit well with our family. We wanted a new puppy that would get along well with our senior female dog and our 2 kids, and he exceeds all of our expectations. Artemis is very sweet natured and loving. He’s playful but not rambunctious, just a perfect addition to our family. Lise answered all of our many questions. We video chatted and got to see the puppies and their mommy. She explained why she thought Artemis would be a good fit for us and she was absolutely right. We’ve had 5 Maltese over the past 3 decades so we’re very familiar with this breed. So lucky we found a great breeder in the Ottawa area… What first caught my attention was the excellent website called “ClaireLi Purely Maltese”. It was full of helpful information and showed the breeder (Lise) cared about where her pups went to. After a lengthy phone interview and completion of a 58 question questionnaire we were fortunate to be awarded a new little Maltese puppy. She is absolutely gorgeous. The adoption procedures felt very professional ,the form required made us feel the pups would be ensured to go to a good home. The communication was always open. The location and facilities that we couldn’t see during COVD 19 were seen over videos and zoom which helped me feel at ease. Our beautiful Monroe the Maltese made her way from Stittsville to St. John’s during a global pandemic. Indy, our older girl, was ill and we worried we would for the first time in decades not have a Maltese in our home. Monroe arrived safely and from every interaction before, on and after that day we have been impressed by Lise as a breeder. Lise provided many photos and videos as well as timely updates before travel and before our purchase. We were always impressed with her support and her commitment to doing what was best for the puppy. Her dogs are world class but she is also a first class person who loves her puppies as if they were to be in her home forever. We are so thankful to Lise and her family for bringing the joy of Miss Monroe to our home two years ago. The other dogs love her and she keeps older dogs very active. For those new to the Maltese breed, Lise pups are a perfect size - especially for families who like to take their best friend with them on safe adventures. Monroe has a zest for play but she also loves snuggles more than any of the dogs I’ve had. She’s a perfect companion for an adult couple with older kids, an individual or senior looking for a best friend or a mature family that wants a sweet, dark eyed and perfect best friend. Her bark warms my heart at every turn. If you want a picture perfect Maltese, this is the breeder for you. A Maltese is my favourite breed. Our sweet Maltese, Coco, is almost 4 years old now, and she has become the most important member in our family ever since she came home - everyone loves (spoils) her. I still remembered when we decided to adopt a Maltese puppy in 2019 . We did some resarch and have gone through a long list of reputable breeders in Ontario, and found ClaireLi Purely Maltese. Lise was very friendly and helpful. We were invited to visit their premises and meet our puppy‘s family when she was 8-week-old. Lise sent us pictures and short videos of our puppy before she was ready to go home with us. As first-time pet owners, we indeed have tons of questions when Coco was home. Lise has been very responsive to answer all our questions with patience. I really appreciate her continuous support throughout the years. My wife and I are first time dog owners and had spent a lot of time researching for a reputable breeder which was problematic as there are very very few people breeding high quality, pure Maltese dogs. Finding Lise and having a chance to meet her in person has been a wonderful experience giving us the peace of mind that we have done it right. Her house is in immaculate and pristine condition, and the love and care she has been investing in these adorable dogs is something that you sense right away and makes you feel very comfortable and homey going through this journey. The whole process was easy and free of worries keeping us regularly informed with updates on how the little one was exploring his first steps in this new world for the first 10 weeks. We were told by friends that many dog owners are initially told that their puppy will not grow much in size but later they are so disappointed seeing that what was supposed to be a 6 pound dog turns into a 25+ pound horse losing their tiny and delicate appearance. Well, 2 years later, our Lou is still a 6 pound little dog with the same charming silhouette as you can see in the photo we are happy to share.
